It’s the Holy Grail of video downloads!
Have you ever wanted to do a video download a YouTube Video? Has someone ever emailed you a file that you could not use? Zamzar is here to save you!
Zamzar lets you do video downloads of almost any video you may find online and will also let you upload and convert almost any file format (up to 100 MB free) and then convert it to multiple other formats. Need to convert a TIF into a JPG? Need that song made into an MP3? How about that video from your video camera converted for your iPhone or iPad? No problem!
Much more than just video downloads
The system supports about 20 graphics formats, 10 music formats, so many video download formats I don’t even know them all, lots of document formats, etc etc. What a kick. And totally free. Yes, they are happy to charge you a nominal fee if you want a larger upload limit, but most files in need of a format change are under 100 MB anyway.
So bookmark this post right now so you can find your way to Zamzar when you need to do video downloads! Click the logo to head there now if you need it now!

P.S. If you are interested, the site says the name “Zamzar” is based on a character from the German author Franz Kafka’s book “The Metamorphosis”. In the novel Kafka describes the extraordinary story of a young man who is transformed whilst sleeping into a gigantic insect. The man’s name – Gregor Samsa – was used as the basis for our company name because of its’ powerful association with change & transformation.

Do You Do Online Backup?
I have had many people ask me what we use for online backup. For years, I would say “what backup?” That is no longer the case.
I have been backing up both home and work systems with a great service called Mozy. This product seamlessly and inobtrusively backs up all my pictures, videos, documents and data files in “the cloud.” So if my hard drive crashes or house burns down, I am covered with Mozy online backup. This gives me great peace of mind, and a bulletproof backup for once in my computing life! And the price is right! You can get 2 GB of free storage, or get UNLIMITED storage for $4.95 a month. That is what I call Freap! And you can use it to create regular “local” backups too.
All Online Backup is not the Same!
Now, you may have heard radio advertisements for online backup from Carbonite. I tried that too. And while I am sure it is a great product, it never seemed to work correctly on my systems. Mozy, on the other hand, just plain works! No problems at all. I couldn’t be happier with it! Oh, did I tell you it will even backup your external drives?
No Longer do I say “What Online Backup?”
So if you are one of the many people who only backup to an external hard drive (or don’t back up at all!), click the logo to check it out. It really is one Freapin’ great online backup service!

There are lots of tools on the market that allow you to store your files in “the cloud,” that magical world that lives somewhere between your computer and mine. But few of these tools have the power and simplicity of DropBox. I have been using this tool for several months now, and I love it! It is bonehead simple. Install the program on one machine. Drop files in the folder it creates. Install the program on another machine, login, and poof! Your files are there! You can even sync files to your iPhone or Droid.
And all for FREE!

This is also a great way to share files with people, especially those files too large for email!
So use this to keep your commonly used files all synced up between work, home, laptop and phone. This is Freapin’ awesome
Use this link to get 250 GB of extra storage space beyond the regular 2 GB of free space:

We know that Norton, Symantic and others want us all to pay exorbitant monthly subscriptions for anti-virus software. Hey, they need to make money too, right? Well, not from us they don’t!

Computer geeks around the world have been using AVG Free for years, and it is time the world knew about it! AVG is a powerful anti-virus tool that has a free variant. I have been using this for at least four years across 10+ computers and have never had a virus. That’s saying something, especially when you consider how much I am online!
Now AVG also has a paid version, their Internet Security Suite, and this is also an excellent product with some addition features. It is well worth it.
You can check out both products here.

Ok … I don’t know about your desktop but mine looks like my 15 year old daughters room at the end of the week… MESSY! Sorry honey!
So I was STOKED to find a free little program that handles my icon madness and does it with such little set up time and ease that I just had to share it with you. Here is the Stardock softwares schpeel about their software named Fences:
Fences® is a program that helps you organize your desktop, and can hide your icons when they’re not in use. A “Fence”, a term coined by this program, is an icon group on your desktop. Fences is an add-on to your desktop, not a replacement.
They have a Pro Version for $19.95 that you can purchase if you want more features but for now… I’m sticking with the free version to organized my desktop.
